while I am sure I am not the first to offer this suggestion check this. is the chirping it at a
certain rpm range usually and by pulling the clutch it stops? try putting the bike neutral and
revving it. if it does the sound. try to make it do it again. there are two main areas that
made noise one mine. 1st and most likely what it is, place your hand on the speedometer
and see if it stops. if it does your speedometer is loose. you can fix it by pulling the tank
and tightening the nuts on the reverse side. 2nd most unlikely but it happened to mine. if
you have saddle bags check and see if the bracket that keeps the bag from the wheel is not
broken in the joints that connect to the fender. if this is it it will rattle like hell at about 70
mph. hope this helps. I have found with a thumper you get a lot of vibration. but hey why
else have a thumper?
